March is once again upon us. And in the world of travel, that means one thing: ITB Berlin, “the world's leading travel trade show.”
Needless to say, we are super-excited to be headed once again to ITB, which the organizers say this year will showcase some 10,000 companies from around the world.
While we always enjoy traveling to visit friends and colleagues and hear about the latest advancements in our industry, the simple act of reconnecting with people from around the world seems more important than ever as we come off a year of crazy and often divisive global politics.
As ITB organizers said last month, “even in times of political uncertainty, the international travel industry places a focus on strong participation, progress and face-to-face meetings at the world’s largest travel trade show.”
After all, that’s what DHISCO is all about – connecting the world!
Politics aside, 2016 was another great year here at DHISCO. That’s why we can’t wait to recap how we’ve performed and look ahead at what 2017 holds.
We’ll be arriving in Berlin a few days early to brief industry consultants, executives and advisors on our key strategies and our product release plan for 2017.
We’ll have a full team on hand in Hall 8.1, stand #135, to share our vision, answer questions and, most importantly, get your feedback.
We’re also excited about ITB’s expanded technology focus. Due to high demand, ITB this year is adding an extra hall for its eTravel World. And many of the discussions at ITB Berlin Convention – “the leading travel industry think tank” − focused on technology, with topics ranging from metasearch and distribution to artificial intelligence and how to use social media to respond to traveler fears about safety.
Joining me in Berlin are Greg Berman, our chief strategy officer; Anne Cole, our vice president of content; Gianna Rivera, our senior vice president of client services; and a number of other sales and client services directors. So please be sure to stop by our booth in Hall 8.1, stand #135.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in Berlin!
